Your words stay yours

Cella is a product of Floor No 8 SRL. We built Cella on a simple principle: your writing is sovereign. We do not sell, share, or monetize your content. Your drafts, notes, and creative work belong to you.

What we collect

• Account information: email address, display name, and authentication credentials (Google OAuth or GitHub OAuth).
• Writing data: your documents, drafts, Inception Hub sparks, beat cards, and formative tool outputs are stored to enable the product experience. All sensitive writing content is encrypted with AES-256-GCM at the application layer before storage.
• Voice Profile data: your 847-point linguistic fingerprint is computed from your writing to power Guardian analysis, Thinking Mirror, and Growth Timeline. This data belongs to you and is exportable via Sovereign Memo.
• Sovereign Fitness Index: cognitive independence scores across 6 dimensions (self-edit rate, heuristic application, voice preservation, challenge tolerance, voice coherence, pattern self-application). Used to personalise your coaching experience.
• Cognitive telemetry: anonymized data about feature usage (friction chains, beat coverage, formative mode engagement) to improve the product. This never includes your writing content.
• Resonance embeddings: vector representations of your writing (1536-dimensional) for semantic search and constellation mapping. Stored in your personal workspace only.
• Technical data: browser type, device type, and IP address for security and performance monitoring.

How we use AI

Cella uses Claude (by Anthropic) as its generative AI foundation. AI is used formatively, not generatively — it reads your writing, it does not write for you. Specifically:

• Guardian: analyses your writing for cognitive patterns, structural strength, and voice coherence.
• Ghost: offers observations and structural suggestions when you explicitly request them. Silent by default.
• Scaffold & Refine: coach you through structural decisions and show what revisions change.
• Formativ Memory Layers: Cella learns about your writing patterns over time through a 3-tier temporal stratigraphy system (recent, stable, foundational). This memory is yours — it belongs to your account and is never shared.

Your writing is processed in real time and is not retained by AI providers after the request completes. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Encryption & data security

• Encryption at rest: AES-256-GCM at the application layer for all sensitive content fields (documents, inception data, voice profiles, guardian diagnostics). Encrypted fields use an enc:v1: prefix for versioned migration.
• Encryption in transit: TLS 1.3 for all connections.
• Data residency: Neon Postgres in Frankfurt, Germany. Your writing never leaves the European Union.
• Application hosting: Vercel (EU edge network).

Third-party services

• Authentication: NextAuth 5 with Google OAuth and GitHub OAuth.
• AI provider: Anthropic (Claude API) for formative analysis.
• Payments: Stripe for subscription management. We never store credit card data — Stripe handles all payment processing.
• Hosting: Vercel for application delivery. Neon for database.

Each provider operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements with us.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation and Romanian data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you.
• Export your writing, voice profile, and SFI data via Sovereign Memo.
• Correct any inaccurate personal data.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
• Port your data to another service.
• Object to processing of your personal data.

Third-party data

Cella ships several third-party datasets and machine learning models (lexicons, psycholinguistic norms, and a sentence-embedding model) used for client-side analysis. Full citations and licenses are listed on the Credits page.
